The Hooligans!!!!

On Tuesday, 1 November 2011, Chad went outside to play with Miss Piggy and Spike, but they had no intention of including him in their game. They discovered playing Tug-Of-War with each other is far more fun than when they play with us. They played for about 20 minutes and I had to take a video of them. Now that is all they play, but one of us has to go out to "watch" them, it is all part of the game. They never just go outside and play, we have to go outside to play with them. Spike is so intelligent, I might have posted about this before, but it never ceases to amaze me. I just say the word Toy and he goes crazy running around looking for his toy. I keep my tone neutral and sometimes say it mid conversation with someone else and he knows what I am saying. He also knows exactly where his toys are. One morning after dropping Chad off at school, he went running around the house looking for his toy. He knows when I get home after dropping Chad off at school that it is play time. He then ran into the kitchen, sat by the fridge and barked his "let's play" bark. I looked all over the kitchen for his toy, told him to go find his toy and he either jumped up at the fridge or sat down by the fridge and barked. So I knew it was in the kitchen. In the mornings, especially on a Monday, our kitchen is full of laundry waiting to be washed. I looked in the laundry baskets and amongst the clothes, but nothing. I had no option, but to go on my hands and knees and look under the fridge and there was his toy. Such excitement when he saw me getting it.

The other night when Mark let them out, he went up to one of the bushes in the garden and barked and barked, so Mark went to have a look to see what was in the bush. There deep inside the bush was one of his old broken toys. A toy chicken leg, that is so broken and chewed up, I actually thought I had thrown it away. Him and Piggy both had one and I must have thrown the one away.  I don't know how it got into the bush, but Spike knew it was there.

Our garden is a real mess in the video, fortunately, our gardener comes on a Friday and Tuesday and had not gotten to the front garden yet. The grass was only cut on the Friday, but with all the rain we had it had already grown a lot and as for the leaves, well we have so many leaves and every Tuesday and Friday as soon as he has finished the garden and goes home, the wind picks up and blows all the leaves off the tree and it looks like we never rake up the leaves. Yesterday, he had not even left yet and a huge wind and rain storm started and the garden was covered in leaves.

When they finally gave up playing and we called them inside so that Rabi, our gardener, could do the front garden, they don't like him at all, so they have to be kept away from him, Spike was so exhausted, he just flopped down on the dining room floor and panted and panted. He is very unfit for a bull terrier, yet he is exercised everyday, not going on walks, but running up and down the garden playing fetch and tug-of-war. Miss Piggy was ready for a few more rounds, she is unbelievably fit for a bull dog on the other hand and quite agile too.

The video can be viewed here and also here I tried to upload the video directly into this post, but it took over an hour and it had still not uploaded so I had to upload them to youtube instead. The third video is here.

Till Later..............
